Buffing your floors

Buffing or screening a hardwood floor is similar to refinishing wood trim on a house.

Buffing involves lightly sanding the old finish and then applying a new layer of finish. Buffing will not remove the stain or color from hardwood floors, it simply removes the top layers of protective coating.

What is Buffing?

There are several reasons to consider buffing a floor that is beginning to show wear and tear over refinishing it.

If you choose to maintain and buff your floor every 5-7 years this will protect the floors from discoloration and chips and your floors would not need to be sanded and refinished.

In this buffing process we can control the degree of shine, gloss finish, semi-gloss finish and satin finish are available.
